Golds in Flight - Lots of EGGS!

 

We've had two golds rise in Ista Weyr of late. The first gold to go up was Taksia's Misuth (NPC), a visiting queen from Benden Weyr. Ista just as quickly claimed her clutch since their own queens had to vacate their home and put the weyr into an uproar. Luckily, the only other queen in Ista close to rising was already out of the weyr on that day, something the weyrfolk were very grateful for. Most of Ista is wondering what Benden's leadership was thinking when they let a gold who was close to rising out of the weyr. Whether it was Misuth's first flight or not, Benden had dragons and riders old enough to be able to tell.

Essiath rose (off camera) in her maiden flight the day after Misuth's flight. Many of the older bronzes who had been keeping an eye on Andikola and her gold gave chase and even a few of the younger bronzes, tired from the previous days chase were in hot pursuit. The bronze dragons who had resisted the temptation of Benden's gold quickly out-classed those who grew tired early on. It was still a shock when R'yn's bronze Runeth caught her and the Weyrleader found himself waking up in someone elses weyr.

Ista Weyr will now enjoy the riches of not one, but two clutches on the sands! We're always looking for new players and older players wanting to toss another candidate into the mix are welcome.

HELP WANTED

We have many positions open in the current weyrs, holds and halls. Every subject needs a Headwoman. Someone has to keep things organized! Most of the weyrs could definitely use some help with assistant weyrlingmasters and if things work out, there will be some fast promotions to full WLM status. We have a Harper and Healer Hall combined and we need virutally every position filled other than Master of the craft. If you are interested, hop on in! If you have any questions, go to the game over on the delphi forums (the link is in the menu above) and post them in the OOC section at the bottom of the column on the left for most users.
