HINTS & TIPS

Please check the Subject line in a note (or post) and see if the word 'Joiner' is in there before you jump into the note. If the word 'Joiner' or 'Join' is not in the subject line, please do not jump in. It may be a private note between a specific set of characters. You can send a private request via email or IM and ask if you can join.

Don't take control of the way the rp is going in someone elses note once you have joined it. Or take control of the note itself. This isn't as easy as it sounds, but we all learned. You will too.

Do not rp the speech or actions of other characters in your post (unless it is an NPC character of your own creation). Or unless you have the other players specific OOC permission to do so.

It's what you say, not how much you say. As with everything, it's quality over quantity. Use the notes to give your characters life.

Perfect characters get boring fairly quickly. So create 'flawed' characters. Make a normal character with a twist. Those are fun to write and to write with.

Feel free to start your own role play, be it a note with a basic plot that has a beginning, middle and end or an open ended note that any players may join and take in any direction.  This means you have to be willing to relinquish control of the note itself when someone else is inspired and takes it in another direction. Or something with a plot that can also go off on tangents. If you post an open note that anyone can take over, then please note it in the subject line with a simple *open joiner* (or *opn jnr* if you prefer the abbreviation)

If you want to role-play a specific item that might have an effect on a wider group of people than just those in the note your about to write as well as other areas of the subject, contact the GM's and see if taking it into a topic wide tp (tiny plot) would be possible.

While most of the GM's are quite lenient here, it is still best to contact them with a request for a gold fire lizard flight or green dragon flight.
