THE PERN RPG CHARTER

THOUGH THE PERMISSION PROCESS HAS CHANGED AND RELAXED A BIT, WE AT PERN RPG CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES AS SET IN THE ORIGINAL LETTER OF PERMISSION FROM ANNE MCCAFFREY BACK IN 1987.

 
    Pern RPG was first given permission back in 1987 by a handwritten letter from Anne McCaffrey. The game was recognized and verified in 1992 per the charter listed below.

Rules set down by Anne McCaffrey for this RPG-10/1992

1. Benden (Weyr & Hold) and Ruatha Hold are OFF LIMITS

2. All Dragons Names end in "th"

3. The colors of dragons are: Gold, Bronze, Brown, Blue and Green. Ruth is the ONLY white dragon. NO OTHER COLORS.

4. Gold Dragons may only be impressed by female riders.

5. Bronze Dragons may only be impressed by male riders.

6. Others may be Impressed by either gender.

7. Players names may not be from the books. Gold Riders keep their names as is, Male riders Use the Honorific, Other Female riders may choose.

8. Dragons do not fight each other or humans.

9. No one person is in charge.
